Sausage and Grits
Lets talk about the meal you can eat all day! That is sausage and grits or fish and grits or shrimp and grits, the list goes on for the options are endless. Have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you please. I always add a caribbean twist to my dishes since, I am Haitian and that is the style in which I learned to cook okuur! I used a tomato base to the turkey sausage along with roma tomatoes for added sweetness and sun dried tomatoes for that savory taste. For me I can't eat grits without cheese so I added taco style shredded cheese to my recipe and for the salt factor I used maggie. Here is the recipe below:
What you need for the Turkey sausage:
1 sweet onion (chopped)
1/2 cup of tomato sauce
2 tsp avocado oil
1-2 pounds sasusage
1 roma tomato
1/2 cup of sun dried tomatoes ( in oil)
1 parsley
cracked black pepper to taste
adobo seasoning to taste

Grits:
1 cup of water
1 1/2 maggie
1/2 stick of butter
1 1/2 cup of grits
1 cup of milk (2% or whole)
1 cup of shredded taco style cheese
