Fall Into Suede

Ladies! It is officially fall and tis the season for layering and fabulous statement pieces. For me it is all about sweaters and  functional coats that you can slay in multiple ways. It doesn't have to cost an arm and leg and various brands sell similar styles. For me I gear towards the sweaters and coats that will last me years, my go to brands for that are;  J. Crew, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, Macy's, Anthropology and my new favorite Zara. The suede coat featured above is a newbie to my collection and I have to say the looks are about to be endless with this coat. The way I styled it above would have to be my go to right now which is more on the simple and casual side. Being that I have to run after a toddler the  6 inch heels wouldn't be a go to but maybe for a casual date night. I will also be pairing it with booties, flats or even tennis shoes to run around in. Because you know shoes can always set off an outfit.  I am comfortable , warm, cute and it is definitely functional!

Summer Trends

Trends can be tricky and not all trends will work for your personal style. For me I pick my favorite pattern, fabric and accessories that I can rock them all summer long. Let me break it down in  these looks you see below. Right now linen is my bestie, all though it wrinkles quickly it is breathable and comes in so many cute styles. The yellow dress and army green jumpsuit are both linen and feel amazing. I am not incredibly hot in these looks which is a must in hotlanta or for a vacay destination this summer. One of my favorite new trends that you see all over right now is the bamboo bag, the one that I am carrying can transition from daytime to night time easily. This style bag also pairs nicely with linen for resort chic vibes. Lastly, I have fallen in love with the rainbow pattern. It is a fun summer pattern that you can color block with so much. I chose this trendy pattern in a skirt because it can be worn in a million ways; crop tops (as shown below) bandeau tops with a blazer and not to mention a variation of colored tops. This pattern is intended to mix and match and showcase your personal style.
